These two plugins are designed to work as a single system. Auto Focus Keyword creates the keyword layer. Automatic Internal Links turns that layer into site-wide internal linking.

The three steps

Step 1 — Assign focus keywords

Auto Focus Keyword scans your site, detects content without focus keywords, and populates the field from page titles. This creates the foundation that everything else depends on.
