Pipeline Overview
The two plugins are designed as sequential steps in a single SEO workflow.
The sequence
Step 1 — Keywords. Auto Focus Keyword scans your site, finds all content without a focus keyword, and populates the field from page titles. This creates the keyword layer that the rest of the pipeline depends on.
Step 2 — Links. Automatic Internal Links reads the focus keywords stored by your SEO plugin, scans your content for matching text, and creates internal links using those keywords as anchor text.
Step 3 — Ecosystem. Other PAGUP plugins can consume the same keyword layer: BIALTY uses focus keywords to generate image alt text, and BIGTA uses them for image title attributes.
Why the order matters
Automatic Internal Links cannot create links if there are no focus keywords to use as anchors. That is why Auto Focus Keyword must run first. The pipeline only works when the keyword layer is populated.
The result
A site running both plugins has consistent focus keywords across all content, automatic internal links based on those keywords, a flatter URL structure with fewer orphan pages, and better crawlability for search engines.
