Max Links
The Max Links setting controls how many automatic links the plugin creates on a single page.
Default value
The default is 3 links per page. This is a reasonable starting point for most sites.
Recommendations
A value of 2–3 links per page is usually optimal. Too many internal links on a single page dilute the value of each link and can feel intrusive to readers. Too few links miss opportunities to distribute page authority and improve crawlability.
Per-link vs global
Each individual link (from SYNC or manual links) has its own max_links value. When Global Override is enabled, the global setting replaces all individual values.
